Chocolate Cake

White Wings Self Raising Flour - back of packet
Ingredients
2 cups self raising flour
125g softened butter or margarine
1.5 cups caster sugar
4 eggs
0.5 tspn bicarbonate of soda
1 tspn vanilla essence
0.5 cup cocoa powder
1 cup milk
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180
oC (conventional) / 160
oC (fan forced).
2. Grease and line a 20cm round deep cake tin
3. Place all ingredients into a large mixer bowl and beat for 3 minutes on medium speed
4. Pour batter into tin and bake for 1.25 to 1.5 hours or until cooked.
5. Cool for 5 mins then turn onto a wire rack and cool completely before icing.
